I booked a reservation through Kayak for $93.50, but Hertz would not honor the price. They HAD the reservation, they simply wouldn't honor the price. The price they gave me was $166.13 and the person at the rental desk basically said "Take it or leave it". I had no choice but to take it since I had to be somewhere quickly

Horrible As a steady customer and Airline employee Hertz and Kayak have just showed the worst communication experience in my 55 years of renting cars I needed to change the day by one due to illness in family and tried for 2 hours on the telephone Finally getting a outsourced Hertz employee that just didn’t care in the Philippines . I was told I gave to cancel my kayak rental myself. I tried for hours and was told finally that hertz can cancel it however it will be a different rate of almost $78 more Anyway. Not going to waist my time with this experience review because it will be going no where I will certainly voice my experience with yelp etc etc. Buckle in hertz Kayak for your ride of negative Review. Goodbye Hertz HELLO SITX they treated me like a king with my new reservation

The staff was very friendly and even though I didn't get the car I reserved, I really liked the rental they gave me instead. It would be nice if dropping off could be more efficient, especially since the staff was already slammed with trying to help ppl who were picking up rentals for the weekend (they were working as fast as they can they deserve an award), so we were just kinda standing around until someone had time to check the car we were returning. But all in all a good experience and I would definitely recommend to others.

Cons:

When I booked the car over the phone, the sales agent told me I’d get a discount if I showed them my State Farm card when we picked up the vehicle. However, that discount was not honored.

There was delay to pick up. Not clear with actual time of pickup. There was no one ask me if I returned the key. I have to FedEx the key to avoid being charged. And the person who looked at the gas was not correct.

Charged me $99 for something and I can’t even view my e receipt to figure out what. I returned the car clean and with a full tank, I can’t imagine what they charged me for.

Pros:

The agent at pick up was the most efficient ever worked with. He checked in 3-4 customers in less than 10 minutes. Usually the paper work and upsells are cumbersome when you just want to get on the road.

Cons:

Did not get a receipt which was supposed to be emailed.

The only issue I had was I was given an electric car, which was fine, but when I inquired about charging it before I drop it off, I was told to not worry about charging it. I asked if I would get charged for not charging it (no pun intended) I was told I would not. But I ended up being charged money by Avis in SeaTac because I did not have the car charged, but I called, Avis in Everett and they reimbursed the monetary charge. Shout out to them!

Usually rent with enterprise because they pick you up/drop you off but were closed because it was labor day. Would rent at Avis more often if they offered this service
